Google Business Home Beta: What Owners Should Know
Google is testing a new place to manage your business called Google Business Home. It is a closed beta. Google says it brings your Business Profile, Merchant Center, YouTube and Ads accounts together in one place.
Search Engine Roundtable reported the beta on October 22, 2026. It quotes the Google email: Business Home "brings together your Business Profile, Merchant Center, YouTube, and Ads accounts all in one place." Google has also published help pages for it, so this is an official Google test.
What Business Home does
Google's help center calls Business Home "a growth partner built with Gemini models." In the current beta, you can:
- Create content with AI-powered tools and photo tools, while you keep creative control
- Manage locations, including updating hours, address, phone and website, managing photos and videos, and replying to reviews and messages
- Get growth guidance based on your business data
- Message customers with AI-powered RCS messaging
Search Engine Roundtable also reports that Business Home can detect demand, for example for seasonal offers.
Who can get it right now
Access is limited. According to Google's help page, Business Home is a closed beta for select business categories in the US and the UK. To be eligible you need:
- An active Google Account
- A business based in the US or the UK
- A verified Business Profile with fewer than 10 locations
- Only one type of business on the account
- No more than one linked YouTube channel, one Google Ads account and one Merchant Center account
- An account in good standing with Google's policies
Google's help page says that if your business is eligible, you receive an invitation email. Google does not describe a sign-up form. If you're outside the US and UK, or your business type isn't included yet, you'll keep managing your profile directly in Google Search and Maps, as you do today.
Why it matters
Search Engine Roundtable notes that Business Home is a return to a central portal, after Google moved owners toward managing profiles in Search and Maps. If it rolls out more widely, more of your profile work may happen in one place, with AI help. We do not know yet if it changes how you rank. Accurate info, the right categories, good photos and steady reviews still matter for Google Maps.
What to do
- Watch for the invite. If you're a US or UK business, look out for an email from Google about Business Home. Check that links go to a google.com address before you click.
- Get eligible now. Verify your profile, fix any policy issues, and keep to one Ads, one YouTube and one Merchant Center account.
- Review AI drafts before posting. If you get access, read AI-written posts and review replies before you publish them. Check that they're accurate and sound like your business.
- Don't wait for the beta. You can already update hours, photos and review replies in your Business Profile. Keep them up to date.
